A Tough Quad Exercise That Will Not Mess Your Knees Up

Drew one of my favs, the Hound (from Game Of Thrones) performing one of my go-to exercises for quads, The Landmine Reverse Lunge.

I hate lunging but using the landmine (or barbell wedged against a wall) really gets them burning like hell and my knees don’t mind. I’m generally squatting and deadlifting heavy so I like to perform these slow. I make sure that 8th rep feels like murder.

A. BB Deadlifts: 3 x 6 reps
B. BB Bench Press: 3 x 6 reps
C. H.S. Incline Chest: 4 x 10 reps + drop set (3.0.10)
D. Landmine Reverse Lunges L/R: 5 x 10 reps (3.0.1.0)
E. Glute Kick Back Machine: 4 x 10 reps (3.0.1.0)
F. Cable (mid) 1-Hand Standing Lat Rows L/R: 4 x 10 reps (3.0.1.0)
G. Cable (high) Tricep Extensions 3-way superset (out, in, overhead): 4 x8³ reps (3.0.1.0)
H. DB Preacher Bicep Curls & Hammer Curls superset L/R: 4 x 8² reps (3.0.1.0)
