What Does A Big Butt Mean To You?

The bigger your glutes (yer ass) and legs are, the more likely you will be able to move big weight. Whether it's dead weight or a moving body. If you have ever played any sport you know this already because of the countless leg exercises performed to build the machine you call your body.

Big Ass Mistakes Of The Past

Don't neglect your legs when training. Some of us made the mistake of training legs when we were young. Some of us probably have skipped numerous leg days. Some of us well just face it would rather work on our upper bodies than our lower bodies. Your body is a by-product of your work.

Start balancing your body out. Forget about what you did in the past. So you have a pancake ass. So you need suspenders so you pants don't slide off because of lack of ass. Maybe you have a big old lazy ass and it's time to firm it up. You better work that ass off because it doesn't get any easier with age.

For the ladies, if you're under 24 years of age and you've got a nice butt, take pictures. Why? Because you probably haven't had to do much to keeping it firm. It won't last forever if you aren't working out on a regular basis. And it's not just about working out regularly.

The Forgotten Core Component

The glutes, the booty, the ass whatever you call it is actually a very important core component that people rarely talk about in regards to core strength. Sure we know it looks good when it's well shaped BUT (insert pun) the stronger your glutes, the stronger your core.

It is difficult not to tighten your glutes when you tighten your abs. Your Core is comprised of your abdomen (abs), your lower back and your glutes. It's bigger than you thought. These components fire up every time you activate your core especially with big compound exercises.

Your Big Booty Prescription

Try and hit a big compound leg exercise every day. Alternating squats and deadlift days are a good idea. Mix up tempos and don't be afraid of a challenging weight. Isolation exercises are fine but always start with a big compound exercise. The isolation exercise will work two fold when the muscles are already fired up.

The last tip is pretty simple. This tip is especially true for glutes but for the core as well. Try performing your exercises standing up when possible. Every time you sit on a bench or a seat you negate most core activity. A week on the machines makes for a week body.
